The Bambu Lab H2D Laser Full Combo 40W is the H2D Laser Edition with the 40Β W laser module, the blade cutting module and an AMS 2 Pro β a dual-nozzle engineering 3D printer, a laser engraver and cutter, and an automatic multi-colour system in one enclosed machine.
Bought from 3D BRO β a Bambu Lab authorised reseller and Australia's authorised service centre β with local warranty assistance and technical support from our Sydney team.
What the 40W module does that the 10W does not
Power changes what the laser is for. At 40Β W it cuts basswood plywood up to 15Β mm and engraves at up to 1000Β mm/s; the 10Β W module on the H2S Laser Full Combo cuts to 5Β mm at up to 400Β mm/s. If you are cutting plywood, acrylic or leather for products rather than marking surfaces, that difference is the whole decision.
The separate blade cutting module handles materials a laser should not touch β vinyl, card, sticker stock β with adjustable blade pressure from 50 to 600Β gf, and takes a pen holder for plotting and drawing.
Still a full engineering 3D printer
Nothing is traded away on the printing side. Two nozzles reach 350Β°C over a 120Β°C heatbed inside an actively heated 65Β°C chamber, which is what makes ABS, ASA, PC, PA and carbon- or glass-fibre reinforced materials print reliably instead of warping or delaminating. The included AMS 2 Pro adds four filament slots with drying.
Safety and ventilation
The laser module is Class 4; the machine as a whole operates as Class 1 while the enclosure, door sensor and laser-safe window are intact and working. A safety key and an emergency stop button are included, and a ventilation pipe is supplied β laser cutting produces smoke and fumes and the machine must be vented outdoors or through suitable extraction. Plan the install before the machine arrives; if you would like advice on the setup for your space, contact our Sydney team.

Frequently asked questions
What can the 40W laser cut?
Bambu Lab rates it to 15 mm in basswood plywood. Real cutting depth depends on the material, its density and moisture content, and how many passes you use; other woods, acrylic and leather all behave differently.
Does it need ventilation?
Yes. Laser engraving and cutting produce smoke and fumes. The machine has a built-in air purification stage and ships with a ventilation pipe, but it should be vented outdoors or into suitable extraction, not run in a closed room.
Is it safe to use at home or in a classroom?
The enclosure, laser-safe window and door sensor make it a Class 1 system in normal use, and it ships with a safety key and emergency stop. It still requires supervision, ventilation and sensible material choices β some plastics release harmful fumes when lasered and should never be cut.
Can I use it purely as a 3D printer?
Yes. The laser and cutting modules are removable; with the print toolhead fitted it is a standard H2D.
Do you support this machine in Australia?
Yes. 3D BRO is a Bambu Lab authorised reseller and an authorised service and repair centre, with technical support and warranty assistance handled locally from Regents Park, Sydney.
