Questions about buying the Bambu Lab A1 Mini Combo Lite in Australia
Is the Bambu Lab A1 Mini Combo Lite genuine Australian stock?

Yes. Every Bambu Lab A1 Mini Combo Lite we sell is genuine Australian stock held in our Sydney warehouse — not a grey import. 3D BRO is a certified Bambu Lab reseller in Australia.

What warranty and support do I get?

A 12-month national warranty, handled locally. 3D BRO is one of the first officially authorised Bambu Lab service and repair centres in Australia (authorised January 2026), so warranty work and technical help happen in Sydney, not overseas. Phone support: (02) 9772 4315, Mon–Fri 9:30am–5pm.

Can I pick it up in Sydney?

Yes. Choose pickup at checkout to collect from our Regents Park, Sydney warehouse and skip the courier fee. We email you as soon as your order is ready to collect.

How is a printer shipped?

In-stock printers are usually dispatched within 1 business day from our Regents Park, Sydney warehouse by tracked courier (Direct Freight, TOLL or Allied Express). Printers are not included in free shipping: delivery is $15 per printer within the Sydney area and $30 per printer to the rest of Australia. You receive a tracking number by email once it leaves the warehouse. Please inspect the carton on arrival and contact us within 24 hours if anything is damaged.

Which filament should I use with it?

Any standard 1.75 mm filament. Most of our Bambu Lab A1 Mini Combo Lite customers add BIQU PLA Go — our Mix & Match offer gives bulk pricing on 10 or more rolls, and it ships with the printer. See Mix & Match

Is 3D BRO an authorised Bambu Lab reseller?

Yes. 3D BRO PTY LTD is a certified Bambu Lab reseller and an officially authorised service and repair centre in Australia, supporting education, business and consumer customers with local knowledge and after-sales service.

Bambu Lab A1 mini Combo — small-footprint multi-colour printing

The A1 mini Combo pairs the Bambu Lab A1 mini with the AMS lite four-spool changer, so multi-colour and multi-material printing works out of the box with nothing else to buy. It is the smallest and most affordable way into the Bambu Lab ecosystem, and it is genuinely a desktop machine — the printer body is 347 × 315 × 365 mm and weighs 5.5 kg.

Sold and supported by 3D BRO, a certified Bambu Lab reseller and one of the first officially authorised Bambu Lab service and repair centres in Australia. Dispatched from our Regents Park warehouse in Sydney.

Who this suits — and who it does not

A good fit if you are printing miniatures, tabletop terrain, small functional parts, prototypes, toys or gifts; you are new to 3D printing and want automatic calibration rather than manual levelling; desk or shelf space is limited; or you want four-colour printing at the lowest entry price.

Consider the full-size A1 or an enclosed P-series machine instead if you need a build area larger than 180 mm in any direction, or you intend to print ABS, ASA, PC, PA or fibre-reinforced filaments. The A1 mini is an open-frame printer and Bambu Lab lists those materials as not recommended for it — see the material table below.

What is in the Combo

  • Bambu Lab A1 mini printer
  • AMS lite — four-spool automatic material system for multi-colour and multi-material printing
  • 0.4 mm stainless steel nozzle fitted; 0.2 mm, 0.6 mm and 0.8 mm nozzles available separately
  • Bambu textured PEI build plate, tool kit and starter accessories as supplied by Bambu Lab

Please allow bench space for the AMS lite alongside the printer — it is a separate unit, not built into the frame.

Materials — what it is rated for

Rating Materials
Ideal PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA
Not recommended ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PET, carbon-fibre and glass-fibre reinforced polymers

This is Bambu Lab's own rating, not ours. The A1 mini has no enclosure, so high-shrinkage and high-temperature materials are prone to warping and delamination, and abrasive fibre-filled filaments will wear a standard stainless nozzle quickly. If those materials matter to you, talk to us before ordering — an enclosed machine will serve you better.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AMS lite included?
Yes. "Combo" means the AMS lite four-spool unit ships with the printer. There is nothing extra to buy for four-colour printing.

How is this different from the A1 Combo?
The A1 mini has a 180 × 180 × 180 mm build volume; the full-size A1 is 256 × 256 × 256 mm. Both are open-frame and both come with AMS lite in Combo form. Choose the mini for space and price, the A1 for larger parts.

Can it print ABS or carbon fibre filament?
Bambu Lab lists ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PET and fibre-reinforced filaments as not recommended for the A1 mini. We would not advise buying it for those materials.

Does multi-colour printing waste filament?
Yes — every colour change purges a small amount of material. This is normal for all AMS-style systems. Bambu Studio shows the estimated waste before you print.
