Questions about buying the Bambu Lab P1S in Australia
Is the Bambu Lab P1S genuine Australian stock?
Yes. Every Bambu Lab P1S we sell is genuine Australian stock held in our Sydney warehouse — not a grey import. 3D BRO is a certified Bambu Lab reseller in Australia.
What warranty and support do I get?
A 12-month national warranty, handled locally. 3D BRO is one of the first officially authorised Bambu Lab service and repair centres in Australia (authorised January 2026), so warranty work and technical help happen in Sydney, not overseas. Phone support: (02) 9772 4315, Mon–Fri 9:30am–5pm.
Can I pick it up in Sydney?
Yes. Choose pickup at checkout to collect from our Regents Park, Sydney warehouse and skip the courier fee. We email you as soon as your order is ready to collect.
How is a printer shipped?
In-stock printers are usually dispatched within 1 business day from our Regents Park, Sydney warehouse by tracked courier (Direct Freight, TOLL or Allied Express). Printers are not included in free shipping: delivery is $15 per printer within the Sydney area and $30 per printer to the rest of Australia. You receive a tracking number by email once it leaves the warehouse. Please inspect the carton on arrival and contact us within 24 hours if anything is damaged.
Which filament should I use with it?
Any standard 1.75 mm filament. Most of our Bambu Lab P1S customers add BIQU PLA Go — our Mix & Match offer gives bulk pricing on 10 or more rolls, and it ships with the printer. See Mix & Match
Is 3D BRO an authorised Bambu Lab reseller?
Yes. 3D BRO PTY LTD is a certified Bambu Lab reseller and an officially authorised service and repair centre in Australia, supporting education, business and consumer customers with local knowledge and after-sales service.

Why the P1S is still the default recommendation
The P1S is the machine most people should buy first. It is enclosed, which puts ABS and ASA within reach; it is a CoreXY, so it is fast without shaking itself apart; and it has been in the field long enough that the profiles, the spare parts and the community answers all exist. Nothing about it is experimental.
What you give up against the newer P2S is the screen (a 2.7-inch monochrome LCD rather than a colour touchscreen), the camera (720p at 0.5 fps rather than 1080p at 30 fps with AI defect detection), and the ability to run abrasive fibre-reinforced filaments — the P1S ships with a stainless steel nozzle and Bambu Lab does not recommend carbon- or glass-fibre materials on it.
What the enclosure does and does not do
The P1S enclosure is passive. It traps the heat the bed gives off, which is enough to make ABS and ASA workable and to keep draughts off tall PLA prints. It is not an actively heated chamber — that is an H-series feature (see the H2S) — so very large ABS parts still need care with placement and door position.
Who should choose the P1S
- Choose the P1S if you want a dependable enclosed printer for PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS and ASA and value proven reliability over the newest hardware.
- Choose the P1S Combo if you want four-colour printing included — same printer, with an AMS.
- Choose the P2S if you want to print carbon-fibre filaments, or want the colour touchscreen and AI camera.
- Choose the A1 if you print PLA and PETG only and would rather spend less on an open-frame machine.
- Best value option: the official refurbished P1S Combo — factory-certified, with AMS and full warranty.

Frequently asked questions
Can the P1S print ABS and ASA?
Yes. The enclosure traps enough heat for both, which is the main practical difference between the P1S and an open-frame printer such as the A1. Ventilate the room — ABS in particular has a strong odour.
Can the P1S print carbon fibre filament?
Bambu Lab lists carbon- and glass-fibre reinforced materials as not recommended for the P1S: the stock nozzle is stainless steel and abrasive filaments wear it quickly. If fibre-reinforced materials are part of your plan, the P2S ships with a hardened steel nozzle and supports them.
Does the P1S have a touchscreen?
No. It has a 2.7-inch monochrome LCD with buttons. Day-to-day control is normally through Bambu Studio or the Bambu Handy app; the colour touchscreen is a P2S and H-series feature.
P1S or P1S Combo?
The Combo is the same printer with an AMS included for automatic four-colour printing. Buying them together costs less than adding an AMS later.
Do you support the P1S in Australia?
Yes. 3D BRO is a Bambu Lab authorised reseller and an authorised service and repair centre, with technical support and warranty assistance handled locally from Regents Park, Sydney. We also stock P1 series hotends and other spare parts.
